    "text": "## Chapter XCI\n\n\nXCI. 1-11. 18-19. *Enoch's Admonition to his Children*.\n\n#### CHAPTER XCI.\n\n1. 'And now, my son Methuselah, call to me all thy brothers\n\nAnd gather together to me all the sons of thy mother; p. 130\n\nFor the word calls me,\n\nAnd the spirit is poured out upon me,\n\nThat I may show you everything\n\nThat shall befall you for ever.'\n\n2 And there upon Methuselah went and summoned to him all his brothers and assembled his relatives. 3 And he spake unto all the children of righteousness and said:\n\n'Hear, ye sons of Enoch, all the words of your father,\n\nAnd hearken aright to the voice of my mouth;\n\nFor I exhort you and say unto you, beloved:\n\nLove uprightness and walk therein.\n\n4. And draw not nigh to uprightness with a double heart,\n\nAnd associate not with those of a double heart,\n\nBut walk in righteousness, my sons.\n\nAnd it shall guide you on good paths,\n\nAnd righteousness shall be your companion.\n\n5. For I know that violence **must** increase on the earth,\n\nAnd a great chastisement be executed on the earth,\n\nAnd all unrighteousness come to an end:\n\nYea, it shall be cut off from its roots,\n\nAnd its whole structure be destroyed.\n\n6. And unrighteousness shall again be consummated on the earth,\n\nAnd all the deeds of unrighteousness and of violence\n\nAnd transgression shall prevail in a twofold degree.\n\n7. And when sin and unrighteousness and blasphemy\n\nAnd violence in all kinds of deeds increase,\n\nAnd apostasy and transgression and uncleanness increase, p. 131\n\nA great chastisement shall come from heaven upon all these,\n\nAnd the holy Lord will come forth with wrath and chastisement\n\nTo execute judgement on earth.\n\n8. In those days violence shall be cut off from its roots,\n\nAnd the roots of unrighteousness together with deceit,\n\nAnd they shall be destroyed from under heaven.\n\n9. And all the idols of the heathen shall be abandoned,\n\nAnd the temples burned with fire,\n\nAnd they shall remove them from the whole earth,\n\nAnd they (*i.e.* the heathen) shall be cast into the judgement of fire,\n\nAnd shall perish in wrath and in grievous judgement for ever.\n\n10. And the righteous shall arise from their sleep,\n\nAnd wisdom shall arise and be given unto them.\n\n[11. And after that the roots of unrighteousness shall be cut off, and the sinners shall be destroyed by the sword . . . shall be cut off from the blasphemers in every place, and those who plan violence and those who commit blasphemy shall perish by the sword.]\n\n18. And now I tell you, my sons, and show you\n\nThe paths of righteousness and the paths of violence.\n\nYea, I will show them to you again\n\nThat ye may know what will come to pass.\n\n19. And now, hearken unto me, my sons,\n\nAnd walk in the paths of righteousness,\n\nAnd walk not in the paths of violence;\n\nFor all who walk in the paths of unrighteousness shall perish for ever.'\n\n## Chapter XCI\n\n\nXCI. 12.-17. *The Last Three Weeks*.\n\n#### CHAPTER XCI.\n\n12. And after that there shall be another, the eighth week, that of righteousness,\n\nAnd a sword shall be given to it that a righteous judgement may be executed on the oppressors,\n\nAnd sinners shall be delivered into the hands of the righteous. p. 134\n\n13 And at its close they shall acquire houses through their righteousness,\n\nAnd a house shall be built for the Great King in glory for evermore,\n\n14*d*. And all mankind shall look to the path of uprightness.\n\n14*a*. And after that, in the ninth week, the righteous judgement shall be revealed to the whole world,\n\n*b*. And all the works of the godless shall vanish from all the earth,\n\n*c*. And the world shall be written down for destruction.\n\n15. And after this, in the tenth week in the seventh part,\n\nThere shall be the great eternal judgement,\n\nIn which He will execute vengeance amongst the angels.\n\n16. And the first heaven shall depart and pass away,\n\nAnd a new heaven shall appear,\n\nAnd all the powers of the heavens shall give sevenfold light.\n\n17. And after that there will be many weeks without number for ever,\n\nAnd all shall be in goodness and righteousness,\n\nAnd sin shall no more be mentioned for ever.",
