If we could renounce our artful\ncontrivances and discard our (scheming for) gain, there would be no\nthieves nor robbers.\n\nThose three methods (of government)\nThought olden ways in elegance did fail\nAnd made these names their want of worth to veil;\nBut simple views, and courses plain and true\nWould selfish ends and many lusts eschew.",
