    "text": "## Chapter 54\n\n\nWhat (Tao's) skilful planter plants\nCan never be uptorn;\nWhat his skilful arms enfold,\nFrom him can ne'er be borne.\nSons shall bring in lengthening line,\nSacrifices to his shrine.\n\nTao when nursed within one's self,\nHis vigour will make true;\nAnd where the family it rules\nWhat riches will accrue!\nThe neighbourhood where it prevails\nIn thriving will abound;\nAnd when 'tis seen throughout the state,\nGood fortune will be found.\nEmploy it the kingdom o'er,\nAnd men thrive all around.\n\nIn this way the effect will be seen in the person, by the\nobservation of different cases; in the family; in the neighbourhood;\nin the state; and in the kingdom.\n\nHow do I know that this effect is sure to hold thus all under the\nsky? By this (method of observation).",
