Initial Announcements about the Fire in “Das Goetheanum”

The first issue after the fire (no. 22, January 7, 1923) contains an article by Albert Steffen, “The Destruction of the Goetheanum by Fire,” and “Newspaper Comments about the Fire.”

The next issue (no. 23, January 14, 1923) begins the first part of Rudolf Steiner's essay “The Goetheanum in its Ten Years”; Albert Steffen writes about “The Goetheanum in History”. On the last page of this issue, there appears for the first time the appeal that will appear in every issue throughout 1923:

Donations for the rebuilding of the Goetheanum should be sent to Dr. Rudolf Steiner (account: Fund for the Rebuilding of the Goetheanum, Schweizerische Kreditanstalt Basel).
