The Fateful Year of 1923
GA 259 — 22 June 1923, Dornach
Invitation to All Societies and Groups to the International Delegates' Conference in Dornach
Dear Friends,
We are taking the liberty of sending you a transcript of Dr. Steiner's extremely important address at the General Assembly of the Goetheanum Association on June 17, together with the invitation to the Assembly of Delegates.1
Please address correspondence regarding the delegates' meeting to: Haus Friedwart, 1st floor, Dornach, marked “Delegiertenversammlung”.
With best regards,
Dr. I. Wegman, Albert Steffen, William Scott Pyle, G. Metaxa
In the German “Mitteilungen”, the letter was printed with the following addition:
The above letter of invitation came into our hands on June 25; we will distribute it as quickly as possible among all working groups of the Anthroposophical Society in Germany. We very much hope that quite a few of our members will find the opportunity to be present at this assembly of delegates. Since there is no longer time to convene a general assembly of the German Anthroposophical Society to discuss the issues to be addressed at the delegates' meeting in Dornach, we propose that those members of the Anthroposophical Society in Germany who are able to come to Dornach meet with the board of the Anthroposophical Society in Germany for a preliminary discussion on July 21 at the Glass Studio.2 This will give the Executive Council of the Anthroposophical Society in Germany an opportunity to hear the wishes and suggestions of the members before the delegates' meeting, to discuss them and thus to represent the Anthroposophical Society in Germany in a unified way.
With best regards,
The Board of the Anthroposophical Society in Germany
i. A.: Dr.-Ing. Carl Unger, Dr. Walter Johannes Stein
