The Admission of Women via Marie von Sivers

Based on an undated and unsigned handwritten draft by Theodor Reuß.

OLD ORDER OF EGYPTIAN FREEMASONRY FOR WOMEN

Honorary President H.R.H. Princess Maria de Rohan, Honorary Member Dr. Mariav. Kellner, Grand Master Mrs. Colonel Alice Leighton Cleater, Secretary General Miss Marie von Sivers

Headquarters in Berlin

After the interesting publication of the “Woche” (see issue 33, page 1453) in Germany that women are also being admitted to the Masonic order in England, the conservative motherland of modern Freemasonry, German women's circles are expressing a keen desire to gain access to Freemasonry in Germany, as they do in England, France, Spain, America, India, etc.

It is therefore hereby announced that ladies of rank and status with independent means can be admitted to a high-grade corporation of adoption masonry called the Ancient Order of Egyptian Freemasonry for Women, if they contact Fräulein v. Sivers, Motzstraße 17, Berlin W. This Masonic women's order confers the same degrees as its sister organizations in America, France, England, etc. Mme. H.P. Blavatsky, the founder of the modern Theosophical movement in Europe, received the degrees of this order on November 24, 1877. Requests must be accompanied by a stamped addressed envelope.1
