This sign is the symbol of the Holy Grail (pointed upwards) and also the symbol for the awakening of the master power in the living: pointed downwards.

This is the Christ power, which has been described as Vril in “Zanoni”. It is now still in the elementary germinal state. It will be the one that will unfold the actual content for the high degrees in the “royal art”. The disciple must gain it all alone, without asking many questions. He will thereby learn to make his way out of the knowledge of the eternal laws. That is the “Royal Art”.

Everything we encounter in art, science and religion, insofar as it is not a gift from the gods and is therefore expressed in the symbol of the } has its origin in the “Royal Art”. Thus the sign is &R Kain. The sign [Abels] t.

The great future idea of the “royal art” is to master and penetrate the living in a similar way to how the geometer masters and penetrates the inanimate with a lincal, compass, spirit level and so on. This expresses: that which unfolds out of the earth in the human soul, as the plant unfolds out of the forces of the earth, will unfold over the earth as power, purified of all lesser astral forces. Thus the symbol of the future “royal art” is the L.

The workers on the temple building site, that is to say people from all over the world working together in social communities based on the knowledge of the “eternal laws”, are summoned by this sign. This L-sign symbolizes a completely new power, which is based on freedom and consists in the awakening of a completely new natural force. This is a similar force to that at work in wireless telegraphy.

It will be possible for people, when this power is applied in a non-moral sense, to wreak havoc over long distances. This will happen until a peak in this development, then it will change, and then the Tau sign will be an expression of the driving force that can only be set in motion by selfless love.

Machines will be set in motion by this power. And they will stand still if selfish people want to operate them.

This is the most important power that must be instilled in our culture if it is not to go over the edge. We are standing on the brink today, on the verge of letting this power flow in.
