Notes by Emil Bock on Information from Alexander Strakosch About Freemasonry

The knights: 5th degree

At a certain moment the black drapes disappeared and bright red drapes appeared on the walls. Then the crown of thorns, which was hung on the black cross on the altar of the East, was replaced by a rosary of seven red roses.

The Grand Master received a red headband instead of the white ZT headband, and the knights took off their black robes and stood in red robes.

The Grand Master wore a black robe with a white

headband during the first part, and during the middle part, when he taught as a “teaching brother”, he took off all his insignia and stood before us in a simple white, long robe. - No one can remember a change of clothing at the moment the black curtains fell, in Marie Steiner, the only one in the sixth degree. She wore a white dress and her grade insignia. The grades 3-4 had no change when it turned “red.” They all wore aprons.

The fourth degree had a green border on the apron and three green circles; at the 3rd degree, the border and circles were light blue.

The first and second degrees wore white aprons, and the first degree had the triangle folded up.

All degrees 1-4 wore a small trowel (masonry tool) made of golden-yellow metal

(about life size).
