The waves of external movement must not be allowed to enter the school. However, we must understand the motives and driving forces behind them. The theosophical movement requires sacrifice. We must love those concerned. There are various occult currents. At one time, a master of the Manu will be a number of selected people who will form the core of the sixth root race.

An occult current is trying to gain control of the Master in order to hasten the coming of these events. It does not want to regard all races as equal. Annie Besant, as head of the school, had to live in the different worldviews in order to understand them all better. The more love is shown to her, the more she can work. The sun casts shadows because objects come into its light. The shadow is there because the objects are there, not because the light is there. We must form a battery of love.
