Tibet's Spirituality and Christmas Initiation Mysteries
GA 266I — 13 December 1905, Berlin
Esoteric Lesson
After a few introductory words for a new member, he spoke so beautifully that I think I felt even more than I did on October 4.
He spoke about the most important event of our time: the conquest of Tibet by the English, the people of egoism, which would cause the last remnants of spirituality on earth to disappear. He spoke about the religion of the Tibetans, their inner purity of perception, about Buddhism as taught by Buddha to his disciples in all its intimacy; that the incarnated teacher on earth was the female element, which had to be fertilized by the divine, the male element. From this marriage arose the Bodhisattva, of whom the Tibetans say: he has Avalokiteshvara, God's wisdom. Spoke about the Dalai Lama and his selection from among children born under special natural circumstances. Spoke about the spirits of the fire mist, whose disciples had been our masters; spoke about the development of man into such a powerful being. Spoke about the rhythm in nature, the stars, the entire world system; that only the astral body of man is still chaotic and that man must also make it rhythmic, otherwise he will disturb evolution.
He then spoke about Christmas and the importance of the festivals of the year; that at Christmas the sun was at its lowest point and on the 25th it began its ascent again, and that on this night the masters of the white lodge held a meeting in which they poured out the sun's power for the coming year upon those who wanted to give themselves completely to them, who wanted to surrender their personality completely and ask them for strength. If one celebrates Christmas in this spirit, asking the Masters in this spirit, then they send their power into people on December 25, so that the Master's power works through them. Then he spoke of the last incarnation of the Master Kuthumi and his visits to universities in order to interpret the high wisdom in other languages and in a modern spirit, but that this incarnation had not been in a specific personality, but that his power had worked here and there.
