To Help Others

I immerse myself in the deepest powers of my soul,
Where I live feeling the eternity of my soul.
Like the point without extension in the circle,
So is the eternal soul without physical being within me.

With this incorporeal eternal being, I remember
helping in spirit - - —

The power to be yourself grows stronger within you
The light that shines within you, may it enliven you.

The warmth of the soul that radiates from your own spirit,
warm you. —

Thoughts, spiritually grown
They take their path
From my soul to yours
So that they may work
Filling with life from the spirit
What you strive for in your own way
In the depths of your heart and soul.

May he learn his powers
Feel them in his soul
Know himself
In these powers
Feel beating in his heart
Know himself thinking in his head
Know himself feeling in his body.

To Clara Walberg for her son
1909 Meditations given during the First World War V. Dornach, August 14, 1914
First Aid Course

May they accompany you spiritually in your
the beings you long for
may accompany you spiritually. May they take hold of your thoughts
and let their thoughts flow into them; thus
you will experience them in your thoughts
; may they flow into your feelings
; and may you, uniting with them
, count yourself among the worlds you seek.

Hearts that love,
Suns that warm,
Your footsteps of Christ
In the Father's universe —
We call to you from our own hearts,
We seek you in our own spirit,
O strive toward him!

Rays of human hearts,
Warm longing in devotion,
Your home, Christ,
In the Father's earthly house,
We call you from our own hearts,
We seek you in our own spirit,
O live with him!

Radiant human love,
Warming sunshine,
You, garments of Christ's soul
In the Father's temple of humanity —
We call to you from our hearts,
We seek you in our own spirit,
O help in him!

For a seriously ill person
February 1925

Blood,
Work in the springs;
Lively muscle,
Stir the seeds;
Loving care
Warming hearts
Be a healing breath.

V. Dornach, August 13, 1914
Samaritan course

As long as you feel the pain
That avoids me,
Christ is unrecognized
Working in the world;
For the spirit remains weak
When it is alone in its own body
Powerful in its feeling of suffering.

And now all that has been said can be summarized in seven lines, seven lines that can help you achieve what we have described as a Christ-filled dialogue with the spirit of the people:

You, spirit of my earthly realm,
Reveal the light of your age
To the soul gifted with Christ,
That it may find, striving,
In the choir of the spheres of peace,
You resounding with praise and power
Of the Christian human spirit.

V. Dornach, August 16, 1914, Samaritan course

V. Dornach, September 1, 1914

You, spirit of my earthly home
Pour forth your light
From your age
Into my questioning soul
That it may find
The place of the spirit
In the brotherhood of man.

From the merciful world soul
Fill me with the power of warmth
The warmth that lives through human beings
As it lives through
The power of God
The vast, vast universe.

Prayer for the seriously ill,
given to Helene Röchling
1914/15

Deep into your soul
Into your thoughts, feelings, desires
With Yahweh's fiery power
Immerse my soul in your being
Filled with Christ, into your soul
Lead elohic fiery desires into your being
That the act of life may glow within him.

Stand before me
Take what is spiritually touching—soul-calming
Strongly given
Soul-warming
Heart-reviving
Christ-sacrificed

Help-life, be with you.

Draft for “I want to believe...”
Notebook 1914

I want to believe in you,
I am allowed to know you,
In the protection of that spirit,
Which broods over the center of Europe
His people, his soul's goal;
May he direct to you the power of Yahweh's thought
May he grant you will from the source of Christ's will.

To Helene Röchling
given in 1914

I want to believe
I may know
You in the protection of the Spirit
Who broods over the center of Europe
The goal of his spirit's people
May Yahweh direct my faith to you
May Christ lovingly grant you my power of knowledge.

To Eliza v. Moltke
given in 1914

From the courage of the fighters
From the blood of battles
From the suffering of the forsaken
From the sacrifices of the people
The fruit of the spirit will grow,
Guiding souls with spiritual awareness
Their minds to the realm of the spirit.

from September 1914

From the suffering of souls
From the blood of battles
From the spirit of sacrifice and courage
From pain, hardship, and death
The fruit of the spirit will grow,
Guiding people with spiritual awareness
their soul's purpose toward the spirit realm.

For those standing in the field

Spirits of your souls, working guardians,
May your wings bring
The pleading love of our souls
To the earthlings entrusted to your care,
That, united with your power,
Our plea may shine helpfully
Upon the souls that seek it lovingly.

For those who fell in battle

Spirits of your souls, guardian spirits,
May your wings bring
The pleading love of our souls
To the people of the spheres whom you protect,
So that, united with your power,
Our plea may shine helpfully
Upon the souls who seek it lovingly.

From September 1914

For those standing in the field

You who watch over the souls of the earth,
You who weave the souls of the earth,
Spirits who protect the souls of men
From the wisdom of the world with love:
Hear our plea, see our love,
Who with your helping rays of strength
Want to be one, spirit-given, loving.

For those who fell in the field

You who watch over the souls of the spheres,
You who weave at the souls of the spheres,
Spirits who protect soul-people
From the wisdom of the worlds with love:
Hear our plea, see our love,
Which, with your helping streams of power,
Wish to become one, spirit-filled, radiating love.
