73. Arthur Adler - The Psychology of the Examination Candidate
Dr. Arthur Adler published a highly interesting essay in the "Zeitschrift für praktische Ärzte" (Frankfurt 1898, VII. Jahrgang, Nr.3). It deals with the psychology of the examination candidate and is extraordinarily instructive for psychology. The abnormal states in which the examinee's soul finds itself and the effects of these states on the whole person are presented clearly and convincingly. The differences that arise in relation to these effects, depending on whether the candidate has a strong, healthy or an ailing, nervous organism, are emphasized. In particular, the psychological reasons for suicide in examination candidates are excellently described.
