125. Karl Biedermann “The First German Parliament”

Dr. Karl Biedermann has made an interesting contribution to the history of political events in 1848 with his book "The First German Parliament". Biedermann was a member of this parliament, namely the so-called Erb-Kaiserpartei. He shares personal observations and insightful opinions that he acquired through his own experience. The book sheds new light on many questions. In particular, the reasons for Frederick William IV's rejection of the crown are presented in a hitherto unknown way. The writing is appealing due to the personal element and the great immediacy with which the events are recounted.
