96. Nietzsche Archive
We have received the following letter from Dr. Rudolf Steiner in Weimar:
In the issue of September 15 of your paper, following the announcement that the "Nietzsche Archive" has moved from Naumburg to Weimar, information about my person is contained which is based on an error and which I would like to request be corrected. I have never held an "assistant position" at the "Goethe and Schiller Archive", but have worked in this archive for a number of years as editor of a number of scientific volumes of the Weimar Goethe edition. My interpretation of Nietzsche, which I presented in the book "Friedrich Nietzsche, ein Kämpfer gegen seine Zeit" (Friedrich Nietzsche, a fighter against his time), has no connection with the publications of the "Nietzsche Archive". Nietzsche's biography is edited by his sister, Dr. Elisabeth Förster-Nietzsche; the sole editor of Nietzsche's works is Dr. Fritz Koegel. I have no official relationship with the "Nietzsche Archive". Nor is there any prospect of such a relationship in the future.
