Thus it was possible for me to write in 1895 in the preface to my book *Nietzsche, ein Kämpfer gegen seine Zeit*.[^1] “As early as 1886 in my little volume, *The Theory of Knowledge in Goethe's World-Conception*, the same sentiment is expressed” – that is, the same as appears in certain works of Nietzsche.
