Denken wir an ein Gebet; da soll das Kind angehalten werden, wenn es ein Gebet lernen soll, beim Inhalt in eine Art verehrungsvolle Stimmung hineinzukommen. Und wir müssen dafür sorgen, daß das Kind zuerst in diese verehrungsvolle Stimmung kommt. Wir müssen davor zurückbeben, dem Kinde ein Gebet beizubringen, wenn wir ihm nicht zuerst die andachtsvolle Stimmung beibringen. Dabei darf das Kind dann niemals das Gebet aufsagen, ohne daß es die andachtsvolle Stimmung hat. Also wir sollen das Kind nicht ein niedliches, hübsches Gedicht aufsagen lassen, ohne daß wir ihm vorher das leise Lächeln, ein Erfreutsein und Entzücktsein erweckt haben; nicht es ihm befehlen, aber es an dem Inhalt selber erwecken.
