And just as you press the seal upon the sealing-wax, and the name on the seal appears not only on the seal, but on the wax as well, so too must the astral body dip down into the ether body and impress upon it whatever it may now possess. The inner process, the working over of the astral body, is the same in all methods of initiation. Only in the method of transmission into the ether body do the individual methods differ. We shall speak tomorrow of these differences and show how the three methods of initiation, which have proved to be the most profound evolutionary impulses in the course of the post-Atlantean age, differ from each other and what significance initiation, in general, has for human evolution. Then these parts of the Gospel of St. John upon which we have not yet been able to touch will also become clear.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":175,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/103/1908-05-30/p026","german_anchor":{"de_prefix":"1908-05-30","de_passages":[{"locus":"GA 103/1908-05-30/p030","url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/103/1908-05-30/p030"},{"locus":"GA 103/1908-05-30/p031","url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/103/1908-05-30/p031"}],"bead_confidence":"high","pairing_state":"verified","verified":true,"evidence":["length","reader"],"reader_german":["GA 103/1908-05-30/p030","GA 103/1908-05-30/p031"],"length_check":{"de_words":155,"en_words":175,"ratio":1.13,"partial":false},"correspondence":"established","note":"English passage numbering is edition-relative, so the same number need not name the same paragraph in the German.
