The sun spirit was characterized as Osiris and the soul that seeks the sun spirit was seen as Isis. Thus, all we have been describing was reflected in the worship of Isis in the ancient Egyptian culture. Hence, the religious life was a worship of the moon. Osiris was a sun spirit residing on the moon. He could be seen clairvoyantly by the souls that sought him. But as the human being descended more and more into the physical bodily nature this bodily nature became like a box to Osiris. As human beings increasingly came to be earth beings in the strict sense, Osiris withdrew more and more.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Lecture II-VI","site_heading":null,"date":"1909-05-15","location":null,"word_count":117,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/104a/1909-05-15/p010","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:length","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"James H. Als Osiris bezeichnete man den Sonnengeist und als Isis die den Sonnengeist suchende Seele.
