On initiation a man cannot remain as he is in the physical world; he is certainly led into the spiritual world, but cannot remain such a man as he was when in the ‘Kingdom.’ A sharp distinction has to be made in ancient initiation between the experiences of an Initiate and how he felt when within his ego.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"The bringing forth of the secrets of the Mysteries","site_heading":"Christ's Temptation and the Ego in the Kingdom","site_heading_note":"A heading the site wrote for this unit from a summary of it; not in the edition, and not the words of Rudolf Steiner or of the translator.
