It feels urged on by the material itself to create from within outward. There will then appear, like a darkening of the light-process, what inclines itself in devotion to external reality as image-rich, creatively structured art. It is exactly the opposite process from the one so often observed in today's art work. From an inner center outward everything moves toward this true phantasy, which stands behind our sense reality as a spiritual fact, an imaginative fact. What comes about is phantasy-reality, something that can grow and develop lawfully out of divine, spiritual worlds into our own reality, the lawful possession, one can say, of the poor lad—modern man—limited as he is to the poverty of the outer sense world.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Three Lectures on the Mystery Dramas","date":"1911-12-19","location":null,"word_count":160,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/127/1911-12-19/p025","alignment_confidence":"low","alignment_reason":"count_diverges","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":null,"edition_coverage":{"de":["original"],"en":["English"]},"available_versions":[{"lang":"de","edition":"original","edition_basis":null,"is_original":true,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/127/1911-12-19/p025"},{"lang":"en","edition":"English","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/127/1911-12-19/p025","paragraph_aligned":true}],"german_anchor":{"de_prefix":"1911-12-19","de_passages":[{"locus":"GA 127/1911-12-19/p018","url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/127/1911-12-19/p018"}],"bead_confidence":"medium","length_check":{"de_words":486,"en_words":498,"ratio":1.02,"partial":false},"correspondence":"established","note":"English passage numbering is edition-relative and this passage's lecture alignment is imperfect.
