We cannot help sensing that in everything that surrounds us as forest and crag, mountain and lake, the spirit is coming to expression. And in Spiritual Science we become more and more aware that there is spirit in everything that expresses itself in nature round about us and in the firm earth beneath us. Looking back into the ancient past we can tell ourselves that we descend from a spiritual past and are the children of ancient times. Just as we create our works of art, exploring what we can make of the material to hand, in just such a way did our ancestors create their implements and tools. And the phenomena of nature are the product of the work of the ancient gods in times long past. And if we permeate ourselves with such a feeling, the whole of nature will gradually become for us what it has always been for Spiritual Science. Even though it will seem a maya, it will become the kind of maya that is beautiful and great, for the very reason that it is the creation of the divine-spiritual. So when we go out into nature we are among memorials reminding us of the spiritual activity that took place in ancient pre-earthly times. Then we are filled with that tremendous enthusiasm that deepens our feeling for nature and can fill us with warmth.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"II. Dann überkommt uns jenes große, jenes starke Gefühl, das durchaus eine Vertiefung des Naturgefühls bewirken und uns mit Wärme durchdringen kann.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":267,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/130/1911-09-19/p005"}],"english":["GA 130/1911-09-19/p004"],"method":"length","confidence":"high","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":267,"en_words":276,"ratio":1.03,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"proposed","verified":false},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":1.09,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":5674,"original_word_count":5196,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Pauline Wehrle","identified_edition":"RSP1984","book_title":"Esoteric Christianity and the Mission of Christian Rosenkreutz","publisher":"Rudolf Steiner Press","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA130/English/RSP1984/19110919p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
