And we shall be referred on from the directly conscious self to an enlarged self, in the presence of whom all false pride and presumption will be extinguished and subdued. This feeling develops into another which opens the way to accurate understanding of the nature of present human imperfection; and the consciousness of this leads to the knowledge that man may become perfect, if once the larger spirituality ruling within him is allowed to bear the same relation to his consciousness which it bore to the unconscious life of the soul in early childhood.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Lecture I","site_heading":null,"date":null,"location":null,"word_count":136,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/15/l01/p021?edition=ASGB1921","alignment_confidence":"medium","alignment_reason":"beads:length","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":null,"edition_coverage":{"de":["original"],"en":["AP1992","ASGB1921"]},"available_versions":[{"lang":"de","edition":"original","edition_basis":null,"is_original":true,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/15/l01/p021"},{"lang":"en","edition":"AP1992","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/15/l01/p021","paragraph_aligned":true},{"lang":"en","edition":"ASGB1921","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":false,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/15/l01/p021?edition=ASGB1921","paragraph_aligned":true}],"german_anchor":{"de_prefix":"l01","de_passages":[{"locus":"GA 15/l01/p015","url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/15/l01/p015"}],"bead_confidence":"medium","pairing_state":"proposed","verified":false,"length_check":{"de_words":128,"en_words":136,"ratio":1.06,"partial":false},"correspondence":"established","note":"English passage numbering is edition-relative, so the same number need not name the same paragraph in the German.
