Giordano Bruno, as the philosophical interpreter of Copernicus's teachings, proclaimed that the eighth sphere, which had been considered the boundary of space enclosing everything, was not a boundary at all.[^13] It was maya, an illusion, and only appeared to be the boundary. In reality, a vast number of worlds had been poured into the universe. Thus what had previously been regarded as the boundary of the universe now became the boundary of the world of human sensory perception. We have to look *beyond* the sense world. Once we no longer see the world merely as it appears to our senses, then we can perceive infinity.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Lecture Three","site_heading":null,"date":null,"location":null,"word_count":123,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/15/l03/p047","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:length","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":null,"edition_coverage":{"de":["original"],"en":["AP1992","ASGB1921"]},"available_versions":[{"lang":"en","edition":"AP1992","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/15/l03/p047","paragraph_aligned":true}],"german_anchor":{"de_prefix":"l03","de_passages":[{"locus":"GA 15/l03/p032","url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/15/l03/p032"}],"bead_confidence":"high","pairing_state":"verified","verified":true,"evidence":["length","reader"],"reader_german":["GA 15/l03/p032"],"reader_part":true,"length_check":{"de_words":205,"en_words":197,"ratio":0.96,"partial":false},"correspondence":"established","note":"English passage numbering is edition-relative, so the same number need not name the same paragraph in the German.
