The constitution of an etheric body must be of such a kind as to enable it to provide the life-forces required by a human being until he reaches an advanced age. But when a human being passes through the portal of death in his 25th, 26th or 30th year, the etheric body that abandons him still possesses the forces that might have enabled it to preserve physical life up to the 60th, 70th or 80th year.
