This is what Otto Liebmann said: “Someone might hit on the idea that there is not just albumen and yolk in a hen’s egg, but besides these something of a ghostly nature - an invisible spirit. This spirit materializes itself and when it has completed this materialisation it bursts open the egg-shell with the sharp beak, darts upon the grain and pecks it up.”","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Lecture II","site_heading":"Three Kinds of Clairvoyance and Spiritual Consciousness","site_heading_note":"A heading the site wrote for this unit from a summary of it; not in the edition, and not the words of Rudolf Steiner or of the translator. Da sagt also Otto Liebmann: Es könnte jemand auf den Gedanken verfallen, in dem Hühnerei stecke nicht bloß Eiweiß und Dotter, sondern außerdem ein unsichtbares Gespenst darinnen; dieses Gespenst vermaterialisiere sich, und wenn es mit seiner Materialisierung fertig ist, sprenge es die Eischale mit dem spitzen Schnabel, laufe auf die Körner zu und picke sie auf.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":110,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/161/1915-05-01/p008"}],"english":["GA 161/1915-05-01/p008"],"method":"length","confidence":"medium","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":110,"en_words":119,"ratio":1.08,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"proposed","verified":false},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":0.92,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":5676,"original_word_count":6145,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"not_established","translator":null,"identified_edition":"LRZ140","book_title":"Meditation and Concentration: Three Kinds of Clairvoyance","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA161/English/LRZ140/19150501p02.html","evidence":null,"reason":"no_translator_named","note":"Neither the lecture's own page nor rsarchive's lecture list names a translator for it.
