It is part of the first step of “How to Know Higher Worlds”: that one can raise physical, objective perception to a higher level, to imaginative perception. But do you remember the characteristic that I have given over and over again - in countless places in our cycles it says - what this imaginative view consists of? It consists of the fact that the I works its way back into the etheric body. As long as one only forms objective concepts, as the philosopher also does - for the fact that he works in the spirit is only his megalomania - one does not get any further. One must pass from the objective to the imaginative, that is, as soon as life enters into the concepts, one passes from the mere ego back into the etheric body. One works the astral body into the spirit-self, that is, one can say that the philosophical concepts become imaginative concepts or ideas, if one can still apply the word “concept” there.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"The Relationship Between Spiritual Science and Natural Science VI","site_heading":null,"date":"1915-10-09","location":null,"word_count":178,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/164/1915-10-09/p022","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"The Value of Thinking for Satisfying our Quest for Knowledge","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA164/English/SOL2024/19151009p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page. Man bearbeitet den astralischen Leib zum Geistselbst, das heißt, man kann sagen, die philosophischen Begriffe werden zu imaginativen Begriffen oder Vorstellungen, wenn man das Wort «Begriff» da noch anwenden kann.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":180,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/164/1915-10-09/p022"}],"english":["GA 164/1915-10-09/p022"],"method":"identity","confidence":"high","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":180,"en_words":178,"ratio":0.99,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"verified","verified":true,"evidence":["length","meaning","audit"]},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":1.03,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":6104,"original_word_count":5934,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"The Value of Thinking for Satisfying our Quest for Knowledge","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA164/English/SOL2024/19151009p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
