Where the outer world is concerned, a person who applies dream-logic does of course admit the existence of impulses of some sort, but not in the case of the inner world, because he wants to eliminate the will. Ziehen's whole book is full of dream-logic of this kind, eliminating the will. At the same time of course the *I* is also being eliminated, which is interesting. According to him, the *I* is also nothing more than a series of mental images. He actually explicitly says so.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Lecture V","site_heading":"The I, Will, and Human Evolution's Spiritual Crisis","site_heading_note":"A heading the site wrote for this unit from a summary of it; not in the edition, and not the words of Rudolf Steiner or of the translator. Natürlich, bei der Außenwelt läßt der Mensch, der da Traumlogik hat, noch gelten, daß da irgendwelche Impulse da seien. Beim Innern läßt er es nicht mehr gelten, weil er den Willen ausschalten will.
