In the elemental world, where we exist through our etheric body, this is not immediately the case in the same way, but rather we stand more or less in a closer relationship to certain other elemental beings throughout our entire life. Thus, we can truly compare our relationship as independent elemental beings — which we are through our etheric body — to a number of other elemental beings that actually accompany us throughout our entire life with the relationship of the sun to the orbiting planets. Our own etheric body is a kind of solar elemental being, and it is accompanied by a number of elemental beings that belong to it as the planets belong to the sun, so that these elemental beings together with it form a kind of sevenfold being, just as the planets form a kind of sevenfold being with the sun according to older views.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"The Connection Between Humans and the Spiritual World","site_heading":null,"date":"1916-12-03","location":null,"word_count":219,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/168/1916-12-03/p007","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"The Connection Between the Living and the Dead","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA168/English/SOL2024/19161203p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
