Paul explained that sin came into the world through the law, that is, that sin is there because of the law. In a broader sense, that which disturbs order is there because of the law. Even today, one can only hint at these things, because in general, our materialistic age always cries out for laws whenever something is not right, without knowing that it is precisely that which is not right that comes from the laws that are made. But, as I said, this can only be hinted at, because a great deal is still needed to understand these things. I said: People only believe that they are Christians. For something like this in Paul is read by countless people, but little understood.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"The Connection Between Humans and the Spiritual World","site_heading":null,"date":"1916-12-03","location":null,"word_count":165,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/168/1916-12-03/p010","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"The Connection Between the Living and the Dead","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA168/English/SOL2024/19161203p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
