And from another point of view, you have seen again that the world really is a coherent whole, that the dead are only dead in the physical sense. For at the moment they pass through the gate of death, they have a different access to our soul, and that is the whole difference. They now work upon us from within, whereas when they were alive they worked upon us from without. Such things should increasingly cease to be mere external theories and become part of people's consciousness; they should not merely become worldviews, but world perceptions, yes, I would even say world feelings. Then spiritual science will bear the fruits it is meant to bear, and indeed can bear.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"The Connection Between Humans and the Spiritual World","site_heading":null,"date":"1916-12-03","location":null,"word_count":169,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/168/1916-12-03/p033","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"The Connection Between the Living and the Dead","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA168/English/SOL2024/19161203p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
