Da es ja nicht möglich ist, viel über das äußere Leben zu sagen — wegen des Vorhandenseins der heutigen Vorurteile und alles dessen, was mit dem Gebundensein der Seele in den heutigen Zeitverhältnissen zusammenhängt -, so ist es ja natürlich auch nur in höchst eingeschränktem Maße mir hier an dieser Stelle möglich, zu sprechen über die Dinge, die da wirken bis in die unmittelbare Gegenwart unserer Tage herein. Das geht nicht, das habe ich schon öfter angedeutet. Aber ich möchte gewissermaßen auf solche Erscheinungen doch hinweisen, die weniger die Emotionen, die weniger die Leidenschaften erregen.
