I repeatedly drew attention to the fact that in many 18th Century souls this conception was still fully alive. But before I can tell you—as I shall in the next lectures—what a genuine, up-to-date spiritual viewpoint can and must do to revivify it, I must present to you—episodically, as it were—a more general anthroposophical train of thought. This will disclose the way in which the conception under discussion can be revitalized and once more become a force in mankind's thinking, feeling, and acting.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Lecture II","site_heading":"Michael's Victory: Awakening the Soul's Spiritual Confidence","site_heading_note":"A heading the site wrote for this unit from a summary of it; not in the edition, and not the words of Rudolf Steiner or of the translator.
