As long as there are only people who, with ingenious cleverness — I do not deny this to anthroposophists — understand anthroposophy and profess it as a way of thinking, anthroposophy will not yet be alive. At the moment when, in the face of particularly important insights, souls are filled with delight and become joyfully excited by this or that insight, only then, when such people feel themselves to be anthroposophists, does the anthroposophical movement come into being. It actually arises as an anthroposophical movement in the whole human being. Then it also finds its equilibrium.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Our Thought Life in Sleep and Wakefulness and in the Afterlife","site_heading":null,"date":"1923-06-21","location":null,"word_count":170,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/224/1923-06-21/p032","alignment_confidence":"medium","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"The Human Soul in its Connection with Divine-Spiritual Individualities","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA224/English/SOL2024/19230621p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
