The etheric body remains in the physical body. If a person merely applies earthly consciousness, he can never really know what the nature of his etheric body is. For when he is awake, he enters with his astral body and his ego into the etheric body. Then he is inside. Then he experiences what he himself has brought into it with his ego and his astral body. A being of a much higher organization would have to plunge into this etheric body during human sleep, while the I and the astral body are outside. Such a being, which could really objectively see how it actually relates to this etheric body, would find what the human being actually leaves behind with the physical body when he falls asleep, his etheric body. If one were to determine what it is that the human being leaves behind, one would find that this etheric body or formative forces body is truly the epitome of all wisdom in an earthly and in a much higher sense.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"IX. Würde man konstatieren, was da der Mensch zurückläßt, so würde man finden, daß dieser Ätherleib oder Bildekräfteleib wirklich im irdischen und in einem noch viel höheren Sinne der Ausbund aller Weisheit ist.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":181,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/225/1923-07-21/p038"}],"english":["GA 225/1923-07-21/p038"],"method":"identity","confidence":"high","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":181,"en_words":195,"ratio":1.08,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"verified","verified":true,"evidence":["length","meaning","audit"]},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":1.04,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":6465,"original_word_count":6221,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"Cultural Phenomena — Three Perspectives of Anthroposophy","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA225/English/SOL2024/19230721p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
