But this wisdom flows through our astral body as the work of the gods. Where does it come from that we know nothing of this wisdom? If we knew anything about it, we would not be able to learn freedom as human beings. We would always be guided. It is wisely arranged in the world that we know nothing of this wisdom between birth and death; for this is our school of freedom. Therefore, through the wise guidance of the higher hierarchies, we are made to see nothing of this wisdom in our astral body. How can we see nothing? Yes, of course this wisdom must be obscured. And it is obscured by all the feelings that live in our astral body, which numb us to what is happening. These feelings always spread like a fog over the wisdom that actually shines into our astral body from all sides from the whole world. The fact that I walk across the street, that I have impressions, all this covers the wisdom that shines into my astral body for normal consciousness ... That is why there is so much lying in the world now, because the truth would be agonizing, because the truth would be terrible.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"74.
