Of all that is latent in the forming of man's Destiny, only the very smallest part enters the everyday consciousness. Yet the unveiling of our Destiny teaches us most of all, how the Unconscious can indeed be brought to consciousness. They in effect are wrong, who speak of what is, for the time being, the Unconscious, as though it must remain absolutely in the realm of the unknown, thus constituting a barrier of knowledge. With every fragment of his Destiny that is unveiled to him, man lifts into the realm of consciousness something that was hitherto unconscious.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"On the Picture Nature of Man","site_heading":null,"date":null,"location":null,"word_count":98,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/26/a02/p029","alignment_confidence":"low","alignment_reason":"no_original_to_compare","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":null,"edition_coverage":{"de":["original"],"en":["APC1956","RSP1973"]},"available_versions":[{"lang":"en","edition":"RSP1973","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/26/a02/p029"}],"other_renderings":{"loci":[{"locus":"GA 260a/1924-05-18","ga":"260a","lecture":"1924-05-18","kind":"excerpt","relation":"an excerpt or summary of the same lecture, or the lecture this unit excerpts"}],"note":"The same lecture is also served at the loci listed, each with how it relates to this one.
