Record: listeners' notes. Written from listeners' notes, summaries, or memory rather than a shorthand transcript. The wording is the note-taker's as much as Steiner's: weigh a single striking phrase here far more cautiously than the same phrase in a stenographic volume, and do not rest an argument on one word. Evidence: «Nach Erinnerungsaufzeichnungen von Teilnehmenden» (From participants' records written from memory). Rudolf Steiner Verlag Gesamtverzeichnis 2022, volume subtitle. The translation is the maintainer's, not a published one.

He had two main disciples who carried his knowledge forward for the benefit of human development. One was Hermes, who founded Egyptian wisdom, and the other was Moses, to whom the Christ, the “I am,” appeared in the burning bush. They were all forerunners of the Christ. Buddha was also one of them and, so to speak, sat at the Round Table of the Christ. He also foretold us of Him until He could appear in the flesh.
