Some believe that their spiritual organs are developing particularly slowly. However, even the slightest impatience always has a delaying effect, especially on the development of these organs, and when the student complains of failure, he is very often wrong. For eight-tenths of the students have already developed their spiritual organs, often without even realizing it or understanding how to use them. It is like what happens to a sleeping person with their hearing organs. The ear is open as always, even in sleep, and yet the person hears nothing of the outside world because the ego has left the physical body and etheric body with the astral body.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Esoteric Lesson","site_heading":"Developing Spiritual Organs Through Meditation and Thought","site_heading_note":"A heading the site wrote for this unit from a summary of it; not in the edition, and not the words of Rudolf Steiner or of the translator.
