The wording is the note-taker's as much as Steiner's: weigh a single striking phrase here far more cautiously than the same phrase in a stenographic volume, and do not rest an argument on one word. Exoterically, these two thoughts have been dealt with sufficiently, albeit in a completely different sense, so that they have led people to the most impossible comments and disputes. Esoterically understood, they are an aid to the occult student.
