The etheric body of the larynx and everything connected with it, the tongue, palate, and so on, moves in very specific, lawful ways when we speak, so that we can see this part of the etheric body moving in very specific ways when a person speaks. Now, everything that is expressed in one part can also be expressed by the whole human being. The other parts can be held back, and the total power that the human being brings to bear when speaking can be expressed in a special way. In the movements of the whole human being, one can express those movements that underlie this part of the etheric body, the larynx. This was done in eurythmy.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Address on Eurythmy","site_heading":null,"date":"1918-06-28","location":null,"word_count":145,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/277a/1918-06-28/p007","alignment_confidence":"medium","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"The Origin and Development of Eurythmy 1912–1918","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA277a/English/SOL2024/19180628p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
