It can be associated with the musical element. What I said about language also applies to musical expression, only in a slightly different sense. What becomes art in language and poetry can be expressed in eurythmy, dissolved in group movements. In this way, eurythmy can bring out what is already very much neglected in the art of poetry today. Usually, only the prosaic aspect of poetry is emphasized, that is, what is actually unartistic. But the artistic can also be found again through the eurythmic element. Things are just as specific in detail as they are in music. Individualities are just as important as in the performance of Beethoven's sonatas. Recitation does not need to take a back seat.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Address on Eurythmy","site_heading":null,"date":"1918-06-28","location":null,"word_count":129,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/277a/1918-06-28/p009","alignment_confidence":"medium","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"The Origin and Development of Eurythmy 1912–1918","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA277a/English/SOL2024/19180628p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
