In this way, just as the small child consciously and unconsciously develops articulated speech through imitation and singing, so too can visible speech and visible singing be developed, as is the case in eurythmy. Then, in the same artistic-human sense as the tonal-phonetic in singing or speech signifies the inner life of the soul, not in an abstract intellectual way, but in an artistic-human way, any movement means exactly the same as what is experienced in the ;, in the a, and so on, as the tone or sound means, and one obtains a truly visible language or a truly visible singing.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Eurythmy Performance","site_heading":null,"date":"1923-02-11","location":null,"word_count":182,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/277d/1923-02-11/p011","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2025","book_title":"The Origin and Development of Eurythmy 1923–1925","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA277d/English/SOL2025/19230211e01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
