When we speak consonants through the language of sound, the processes in things live in the consonants in a more objective way. The vowels contain the sensations and feelings we have about the processes of the outside world, but separated from the human being, spiritualized. One might say: in what is expressed here as visible language in eurythmy, the human being lives completely with that which is revealed, for example, in poetry; that which lives in the human spirit is animated by eurythmy. Eurythmy, like language, is also capable of shaping the vowels in movement, as well as the consonants.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Eurythmy Performance","site_heading":null,"date":"1923-06-09","location":null,"word_count":128,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/277d/1923-06-09/p009","alignment_confidence":"medium","alignment_reason":"beads:structural_identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2025","book_title":"The Origin and Development of Eurythmy 1923–1925","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA277d/English/SOL2025/19230609e01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
