All other instruments are external. Human beings, however, contain all the secrets of the world, of existence, of the cosmos; they are a true microcosm. So when we use human beings as an artistic tool, we really have the opportunity to express all the secrets of the cosmos that the soul can experience. That is why eurythmy, even though it is still in its infancy, will continue to develop toward ever greater perfection. And we can hope that what we feel today, when we see the possibilities for development that lie in the mobility of the entire human organism, will come true; we can hope that what he predicts – namely, that eurythmy will one day stand alongside the other arts as a fully-fledged art form – will indeed come to pass in the future.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Eurythmy Performance","site_heading":null,"date":"1924-04-21","location":null,"word_count":167,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/277d/1924-04-21/p016","alignment_confidence":"medium","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2025","book_title":"The Origin and Development of Eurythmy 1923–1925","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA277d/English/SOL2025/19240421e01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
