Remember that Goethe calls the highest thing the soul can strive for the eternal feminine. What overcomes the unusable substances in human nature is called feminine. When the earth has united with the sun, then man himself will be the sun-woman; man will have created the union. The unusable substance is represented as the moon, which is trampled underfoot. What must come out when the earth becomes the sun again is represented by the dragon. It will be overcome when the earth becomes the sun again.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Notes on the Design and Decoration of the Congress Hall","site_heading":null,"date":"1907-05-21","location":null,"word_count":135,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/284/1907-05-21/p028","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":"Images of Occult Seals and Columns","publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA284/English/SOL2024/19070521c01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page. Erinnern Sie sich daran, daß Goethe das Höchste, was die Seele erstreben kann, das Ewig-Weibliche nennt. Was in der menschlichen Natur die unbrauchbaten Stoffe überwindet, wird als weiblich bezeichnet. Wenn die Erde mit der Sonne sich vereinigt haben wird, dann wird der Mensch selbst das Sonnenweib sein; der Mensch wird die Vereinigung geschaffen haben.
