Instruction and education are essentially a special case of human interaction. We need to differentiate human life before the change of teeth and then again until puberty. I have attempted to characterize how different the forces are during the first period of human life in comparison to the second. It requires a very different kind of soul experience for these two periods, for the simple reason that the forces connected with imaginative thinking are directed toward an inner hardening of the human body during the first period of life. This activity culminates in the change of teeth at about the age of seven. The most important means of communicating with human beings during that time lies in the principle of imitating the surroundings.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"III. Wie man nicht würdigt den Zusammenhang des Geistig-Seelischen mit dem einzelnen physischen Menschenorgan, so würdigt man nicht, was zwischen Menschen lebt, als reale Macht: das Geistig-Seelische selber.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":420,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/301/1920-04-22/p025"}],"english":["GA 301/1920-04-22/p026","GA 301/1920-04-22/p027","GA 301/1920-04-22/p028"],"method":"length","confidence":"high","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":420,"en_words":430,"ratio":1.02,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"proposed","verified":false},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":0.89,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":5026,"original_word_count":5630,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Ruth Pusch and Gertrude Teutsch","identified_edition":"AP2001","book_title":"The Renewal of Education","publisher":"Anthroposophic Press","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA301/English/AP2001/19200422d01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
