This part we do not need at all. It is nonsense to think that we consist of these material substances that can be weighed. In reality, we do not become aware of the body at all, because we shield ourselves from it in order to stay well. The curing of illness consists in expelling the earthly influences that are affecting the sick person. All healing is actually based on removing the human being from the earth's influence. If we cannot remove man from the earth and its influences, we cannot cure him. He then lies down in bed, allows himself to be supported by the bed and gives himself up to weight. When one lies down one does not carry one's own self.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"VIII. Selber trägt man sich eben nicht, wenn man liegt.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"word_count":277,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/348/1922-12-23/p052"}],"english":["GA 348/1922-12-23/p041","GA 348/1922-12-23/p042"],"method":"length","confidence":"medium","correspondence":"established","length_check":{"de_words":277,"en_words":263,"ratio":0.95,"partial":false},"pairing_state":"proposed","verified":false},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":0.87,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":5433,"original_word_count":6263,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Maria St. Goar","identified_edition":"AP1981","book_title":"Health and Illness, Volume I","publisher":"Anthroposophic Press","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA348/English/AP1981/19221223a01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
