But *his* path is different. He does not penetrate directly behind the mirror of memory and thus into the bodily organization as the mystic does. He transforms the powers of memory while they are still soul-spiritual, while they are pure thought forces. This happens through the concentration of these powers and their meditative application. He dwells on clear images with highly concentrated soul forces. In doing so, he strengthens these forces *within* the soul region, while the mystic submerges into the region of the body.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Anthroposophy and Mysticism","site_heading":null,"date":null,"location":null,"word_count":101,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/36/58_anthroposophy_and_mysticism/p006","alignment_confidence":"medium","alignment_reason":"beads:structural_identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"SOL2024","book_title":null,"publisher":"Steiner Online Library","publisher_inferred":true,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Articles/GA036/English/SOL2024/58_Anthroposophy_and_Mysticism.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line","publisher_note":"The publisher is inferred from the edition code in this lecture's source URL, not stated by the source page.
