I have called you here to discuss an important matter with you. As you know, the man whose words have had such a clear impact on you is soon to visit our city. I would like to ask for your opinion and advice on how we should prepare to make this visit a success. I believe many of you agree with me that Johannes Thomasius has accomplished a deed that must have a tremendous impact on the spiritual progress of humanity. And if I may express my humble opinion, it is that Thomasius' achievement is the highest that can be accomplished by the human spirit in its earthly journey. I need not make a secret of the fact that my soul has been granted many insights into spiritual spheres through the grace of the rulers of the worlds. Yet I have always felt how necessary it is for humanity that the strictest scientific mind, as the present age loves it, should provide proof of the truths that the seer's eye can recognize, but cannot bring to recognition unless science stands by its side. Through Thomasius, this has been accomplished. The way he has proven spiritual teachings to the world is compelling for every person who wants to use reason and science.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Fragmentary drafts for the first, second, fifth, seventh, eighth, and tenth images","site_heading":null,"date":null,"location":null,"word_count":226,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/44/04_02/p001","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:length","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":null,"book_title":null,"publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Articles/GA044/English/Dweller_04.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"edition_coverage":{"de":["original"],"en":["English"]},"available_versions":[{"lang":"de","edition":"original","edition_basis":null,"is_original":true,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/44/04_02/p001"},{"lang":"en","edition":"English","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/44/04_02/p001","paragraph_aligned":true}],"unit_kind":{"kind":"second_piece_same_name","base_unit":"GA 44/04","note":"Another piece with the same name as 04 in this volume; the suffix only separates the two."},"witness_completeness":{"ratio":1.07,"band":"comparable","note":null,"word_count":3045,"original_word_count":2855,"may_be_abridged":false},"witness_quality":{"translator":{"scope":"unit","status":"recorded","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":null,"book_title":null,"publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Articles/GA044/English/Dweller_04.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"entity_parity":{"status":"ok","checked_against":["GA 44/04_02/p001"],"missing_from_translation":[],"present_only_in_translation":[],"bead_confidence":"high","note":"Every load-bearing name in the German counterpart appears in this English passage.
