Those who become disciples of initiation receive certain instructions from their teacher on how to develop the abilities that lie dormant within them. All of this aims at a point that, in the highest sense of the word, leads people into a preliminary depth of the world, into a center from which the rays of world creation and world law emanate. Such a thing exists. This secret could even be expressed in words, and yet it is not expressed. Allow me to make this suggestion from the outset, for even if it sounds mysterious, anyone who thinks about it will find that even the way in which such a thing is expressed is very significant for the feeling one must acquire in order to understand the principle of initiation.","text_trust":"verbatim","quote_safe":true,"title":"Initiation or Consecration","site_heading":null,"date":"1907-11-28","location":null,"word_count":139,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/56/1907-11-28/p017","alignment_confidence":"high","alignment_reason":"beads:identity","two_voice_volume":false,"translation_credit":{"scope":"unit","status":"established","translator":"Steiner Online Library","identified_edition":"eLib2015","book_title":"Knowledge of Soul and Spirit","publisher":null,"publisher_inferred":false,"match_score":1.0,"source_url":"https://www.rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA056/English/eLib2015/19071128p01.html","evidence":"lecture_page_line"},"edition_coverage":{"de":["original"],"en":["English"]},"available_versions":[{"lang":"de","edition":"original","edition_basis":null,"is_original":true,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/de/ga/56/1907-11-28/p017"},{"lang":"en","edition":"English","edition_basis":null,"is_original":false,"is_default_edition":true,"url":"https://anthroposophy.ai/v1/steiner/en/ga/56/1907-11-28/p017","paragraph_aligned":true}],"record":{"record_type":"unknown","scope":"volume","note":"How this text was taken down (shorthand transcript, listeners' notes or manuscript) is not on record here.
